Proverbs 21

¹ פַּלְגֵיRivulets_of מַיִםwaters לֶבheart_of מֶלֶךְa_king בְּin יַדhand_of יְהוָהJehovah עַל כָּלWherever אֲשֶׁר יַחְפֹּץHe_pleaseth יַטֶּHe_inclineth נּוּit

² כָּלEvery דֶּרֶךְway_of אִישׁa_man יָשָׁרright בְּin עֵינָיeyes וhis_own וְAnd תֹכֵןis_pondering לִבּוֹתhearts יְהוָהJehovah

³ עֲשֹׂהTo_do צְדָקָהrighteousness וּand מִשְׁפָּטjudgment נִבְחָרIs_chosen לַof יהוָהJehovah מִrather_than זָּבַחsacrifice

⁴ רוּםLoftiness_of עֵינַיִםeyes וּand רְחַבbreadth_of לֵבheart נִר רְשָׁעִיםwicked חַטָּאתsin

⁵ מַחְשְׁבוֹתpurposes_of חָרוּץdiligent אַךְonly לְto מוֹתָרadvantage וְAnd כָלevery אָץhasty_one אַךְonly לְto מַחְסוֹרwant

⁶ פֹּעַלmaking_of אוֹצָרוֹתtreasures בִּby לְשׁוֹןa_tongue שָׁקֶרlying הֶבֶלa_vanity נִדָּףdriven_away מְבַקְשֵׁיthose_seeking מָוֶתdeath

⁷ שֹׁדspoil_of רְשָׁעִיםwicked יְגוֹרֵcatcheth םthem כִּיBecause מֵאֲנוּthey_have_refused לַto עֲשׂוֹתdo מִשְׁפָּטjudgment

⁸ הֲפַכְפַּךְFroward דֶּרֶךְway_of אִישׁa_man וָזָרvile וְAnd זַךְpure יָשָׁרupright פָּעֳלwork וֹhis

⁹ טוֹבBetter לָto שֶׁבֶתsit עַלon פִּנַּתa_corner_of גָּגroof מֵThan אֵשֶׁתa_woman_of מִדְיָנִיםcontentions וּand בֵיתa_house_of חָבֶרcompany

¹⁰ נֶפֶשׁsoul_of רָשָׁעwicked אִוְּתָהhath_desired רָעevil לֹאNot יֻחַןgracious בְּin עֵינָיeyes וhis רֵעֵneighbour הוּhis

¹¹ בַּWhen עְנָשׁis_punished לֵץscorner יֶחְכַּםbecometh_wise פֶּתִיsimple וּAnd בְin הַשְׂכִּילgiving_understanding לְto חָכָםwise יִקַּחHe_receiveth דָּעַתknowledge

¹² מַשְׂכִּילis_acting_wisely צַדִּיקRighteous_One לְTowards בֵיתhouse_of רָשָׁעwicked מְסַלֵּףis_overthrowing רְשָׁעִיםwicked לָfor רָעwickedness

¹³ אֹטֵםWhoso_is_shutting אָזְנear וֹhis מִfrom זַּעֲקַתcry_of דָּלpoor גַּםalso הוּאHe יִקְרָאdoth_cry וְand לֹאnot יֵעָנֶהis_answered

¹⁴ מַתָּןA_gift בַּin סֵּתֶרsecret יִכְפֶּהpacifieth אָףanger וְAnd שֹׁחַדa_bribe בַּin חֵקbosom חֵמָהfury עַזָּהstrong

¹⁵ שִׂמְחָהjoy לַto צַּדִּיקrighteous עֲשׂוֹתTo_do מִשְׁפָּטjustice וּBut מְחִתָּהruin לְto פֹעֲלֵיworkers_of אָוֶןiniquity

¹⁶ אָדָםA_man תּוֹעֶהwho_is_wandering מִfrom דֶּרֶךְway_of הַשְׂכֵּלunderstanding בִּIn קְהַלan_assembly_of רְפָאִיםRephaim יָנוּחַresteth

¹⁷ אִישׁa_man מַחְסוֹרpoor אֹהֵבWhoso_loving שִׂמְחָהmirth אֹהֵבWhoso_is_loving יַיִןwine וָand שֶׁמֶןoil לֹאno יַעֲשִׁירmaketh_wealth

¹⁸ כֹּפֶרan_atonement לַfor צַּדִּיקrighteous רָשָׁעwicked וְAnd תַחַתfor יְשָׁרִיםupright בּוֹגֵדtreacherous_dealer

¹⁹ טוֹבBetter שֶׁבֶתto_dwell בְּin אֶרֶץa_land מִדְבָּרwilderness מֵThan אֵשֶׁתa_woman_of מִדְיָנִיםcontentions וָand כָעַסanger

²⁰ אוֹצָרA_treasure נֶחְמָדbe_desired וָand שֶׁמֶןoil בִּin נְוֵהhabitation_of חָכָםwise וּAnd כְסִילfoolish אָדָםa_man יְבַלְּעֶswalloweth_up נּוּit

²¹ רֹדֵףWhoso_is_pursuing צְדָקָהrighteousness וָand חָסֶדkindness יִמְצָאFindeth חַיִּיםlife צְדָקָהrighteousness וְand כָבוֹדhonour

²² עִירA_city_of גִּבֹּרִיםmighty עָלָהhath_gone_up חָכָםwise וַAnd יֹּרֶדbringeth_down עֹזstrength_of מִבְטֶחָconfidence הits

²³ שֹׁמֵרWhoso_is_keeping פִּיmouth וhis וּand לְשׁוֹנtongue וֹhis שֹׁמֵרIs_keeping מִfrom צָּרוֹתadversities נַפְשׁsoul וֹhis

²⁴ זֵדProud יָהִירhaughty לֵץscorner שְׁמname וֹhis עוֹשֶׂהWho_is_working בְּin עֶבְרַתwrath_of זָדוֹןpride

²⁵ תַּאֲוַתdesire_of עָצֵלslothful תְּמִיתֶslayeth נּוּhim כִּיFor מֵאֲנוּhave_refused יָדָיhands וhis לַto עֲשׂוֹתwork

²⁶ כָּלAll הַthe יּוֹםday הִתְאַוָּהhe_hath_desired תַאֲוָהdesiring וְAnd צַדִּיקrighteous יִתֵּןgiveth וְand לֹאnot יַחְשֹׂךְwithholdeth

²⁷ זֶבַחsacrifice_of רְשָׁעִיםwicked תּוֹעֵבָהabomination אַףMuch_more כִּיwhen בְin זִמָּהwickedness יְבִיאֶhe_bringeth נּוּit

²⁸ עֵדA_witness כְּזָבִיםfalse יֹאבֵדdoth_perish וְAnd אִישׁan_man שׁוֹמֵעַattentive לָfor נֶצַחever יְדַבֵּרspeaketh

²⁹ הֵעֵזhath_hardened אִישׁA_man רָשָׁעwicked בְּby פָנָיface וhis וְAnd יָשָׁרupright הוּאhe יָבִין דַּרְכּway וֹhis

³⁰ אֵיןThere_is_no חָכְמָהwisdom וְnor אֵין תְּבוּנָהunderstanding וְNor אֵין עֵצָהcounsel לְ נֶגֶדover-against יְהוָהJehovah

³¹ סוּסA_horse מוּכָןis_prepared לְfor יוֹםa_day_of מִלְחָמָהbattle וְAnd לַof יהוָהJehovah הַthe תְּשׁוּעָהdeliverance
