Proverbs 19

¹ טוֹבBetter רָשׁpoor הוֹלֵךְwalking בְּin תֻמּintegrity וֹhis מֵThan עִקֵּשׁperverse שְׂפָתָיlips וhis וְ הוּאwho כְסִילa_fool

² גַּםAlso בְּ לֹאwithout דַעַתknowledge נֶפֶשׁsoul לֹאnot טוֹבgood וְAnd אָץhasty בְּin רַגְלַיִםfeet חוֹטֵאis_sinning

³ אִוֶּלֶתfolly_of אָדָםman תְּסַלֵּףperverteth דַּרְכּway וֹhis וְAnd עַלagainst יְהוָהJehovah יִזְעַףis_wroth לִבּheart וֹhis

⁴ הוֹןWealth יֹסִיףaddeth רֵעִיםfriends רַבִּיםmany וְAnd דָלpoor_from מֵרֵעneighbour הוּhis יִפָּרֵדis_separated

⁵ עֵדA_witness שְׁקָרִיםfalse לֹאnot יִנָּקֶהis_acquitted וְ יָפִיחַbreatheth_out כְּזָבִיםlies לֹאnot יִמָּלֵטis_delivered

⁶ רַבִּיםMany יְחַלּוּentreat פְנֵיface_of נָדִיבnoble וְAnd כָלall הָ רֵעַfriendship לְto אִישׁa_man_of מַתָּןgifts

⁷ כָּלAll אֲחֵיbrethren_of רָשׁpoor שְׂנֵאֻhave_hated הוּhim אַףSurely כִּיalso מְרֵעֵfriends הוּhis רָחֲקוּhave_been_far מִמֶּfrom נּוּhim מְרַדֵּףis_pursuing אֲמָרִיםwords ל וֹHe הֵמָּהthey

⁸ קֹנֶהWhoso_is_getting לֵּבheart אֹהֵבis_loving נַפְשׁsoul וֹhis שֹׁמֵרis_keeping תְּבוּנָהunderstanding לִto מְצֹאfind טוֹבgood

⁹ עֵדA_witness שְׁקָרִיםfalse לֹאnot יִנָּקֶהis_acquitted וְAnd יָפִיחַbreatheth_out כְּזָבִיםlies יֹאבֵדperisheth

¹⁰ לֹאnot נָאוֶהcomely לִfor כְסִילa_fool תַּעֲנוּגLuxury אַף כִּיMuch_less לְfor עֶבֶדa_servant מְשֹׁלto_rule בְּamong שָׂרִיםprinces

¹¹ שֵׂכֶלwisdom_of אָדָםa_man הֶאֱרִיךְhath_deferred אַפּanger וֹhis וְAnd תִפאַרְתּglory וֹhis עֲבֹרto_pass_over עַל פָּשַׁעtransgression

¹² נַהַםa_growl כַּas כְּפִירa_young_lion זַעַףwrath_of מֶלֶךְa_king וּAnd כְas טַלdew עַלon עֵשֶׂבherb רְצוֹנgood-will וֹhis

¹³ הַוֺּתcalamity לְto אָבִיfather וhis בֵּןa_son כְּסִילfoolish וְAnd דֶלֶףa_dropping טֹרֵדcontinual מִדְיְנֵיcontentions_of אִשָּׁהa_wife

¹⁴ בַּיִתHouse וָand הוֹןwealth נַחֲלַתinheritance_of אָבוֹתfathers וּAnd מֵfrom יְהוָהJehovah אִשָּׁהan_wife מַשְׂכָּלֶתunderstanding

¹⁵ עַצְלָהSloth תַּפִּילcauseth_to_fall תַּרְדֵּמָהdeep_sleep וְAnd נֶפֶשׁan_soul רְמִיָּהindolent תִרְעָבdoth_hunger

¹⁶ שֹׁמֵרWhoso_is_keeping מִצְוָהcommand שֹׁמֵרis_keeping נַפְשׁsoul וֹhis בּוֹזֵהWhoso_is_despising דְרָכָיways וHis יָמוּתdieth

¹⁷ מַלְוֵהWhoso_is_lending יְהוָהJehovah חוֹנֵןis_favouring דָּלpoor וּAnd גְמֻלdeed וֹhis יְשַׁלֶּםHe_repayeth לto וֹhim

¹⁸ יַסֵּרChastise בִּנְson ךָthy כִּיfor יֵשׁthere_is תִּקְוָהhope וְAnd אֶלto הֲמִיתput_to_death וֹhim אַלnot תִּשָּׂאlift_up נַפְשֶׁsoul ךָthy

¹⁹ גְּדָלgreat חֵמָהwrath נֹשֵׂאis_bearing עֹנֶשׁpunishment כִּיFor אִםif תַּצִּילthou_dost_deliver וְyet עוֹדagain תּוֹסִףthou_dost_add

²⁰ שְׁמַעHear עֵצָהcounsel וְand קַבֵּלreceive מוּסָרinstruction לְמַעַןSo_that תֶּחְכַּםthou_art_wise בְּin אַחֲרִיתֶlatter_end ךָthy

²¹ רַבּוֹתMany מַחֲשָׁבוֹתpurposes בְּin לֶבa_heart אִישׁman’s וַAnd עֲצַתcounsel_of יְהוָהJehovah הִיאit תָקוּםstandeth

²² תַּאֲוַתdesirableness_of אָדָםa_man חַסְדּkindness וֹhis וְAnd טוֹבbetter רָשׁpoor מֵthan אִישׁa_liar כָּזָב

²³ יִרְאַתfear_of יְהוָהJehovah לְto חַיִּיםlife וְAnd שָׂבֵעַsatisfied יָלִיןhe_remaineth בַּלnot יִפָּקֶדhe_is_charged רָעevil

²⁴ טָמַןhath_hidden עָצֵלslothful יָדhand וֹhis בַּin צַּלָּחַתa_dish גַּםEven אֶלunto פִּיmouth הוּhis לֹאnot יְשִׁיבֶhe_bringeth_back נָּהit

²⁵ לֵץA_scorner תַּכֶּהsmite וּand פֶתִיsimple יַעְרִםacts_prudently וְAnd הוֹכִיחַgive_reproof לְto נָבוֹןintelligent יָבִיןHe_understandeth דָּעַתknowledge

²⁶ מְשַׁדֶּדWhoso_is_spoiling אָבa_father יַבְרִיחַcauseth_to_flee אֵםa_mother בֵּןA_son מֵבִישׁcausing_shame וּand מַחְפִּירbringing_confusion

²⁷ בְּנִson יmy חַדַלCease לִto שְׁמֹעַhear מוּסָרinstruction לִTo שְׁגוֹתerr מֵfrom אִמְרֵיsayings_of דָעַתknowledge

²⁸ עֵדA_witness בְּלִיַּעַלworthless יָלִיץscorneth מִשְׁפָּטjudgment וּAnd פִיmouth_of רְשָׁעִיםwicked יְבַלַּעswalloweth אָוֶןiniquity

²⁹ נָכוֹנוּhave_been_prepared לַfor לֵּצִיםscorners שְׁפָטִיםJudgments וּAnd מַהֲלֻמוֹתstripes לְfor גֵוback_of כְּסִילִיםfools
