Hosea 11

¹ כִּיBecause נַעַרa_youth יִשְׂרָאֵלIsrael וָand אֹהֲבֵI_love הוּhim וּ מִOut_of מִּצְרַיִםEgypt קָרָאתִיI_have_called לִfor בְנִSon יMy

² קָרְאוּThey_have_called לָto הֶםthem כֵּןrightly הָלְכוּThey_have_gone מִfrom פְּנֵיbefore הֶםthem לַTo בְּעָלִיםlords יְזַבֵּחוּthey_do_sacrifice וְAnd לַto פְּסִלִיםgraven_images יְקַטֵּרוּthey_make_perfume ן

³ וְAnd אָנֹכִיI תִרְגַּלְתִּיhave_caused_to_go_on_foot לְ אֶפְרַיִםEphraim קָחָTaking םthem עַלby זְרוֹעֹתָיarms וtheir וְAnd לֹאnot יָדְעוּthey_have_known כִּיthat רְפָאתִיI_strengthened םthem

⁴ בְּWith חַבְלֵיcords_of אָדָםman אֶמְשְׁכֵI_do_draw םthem בַּWith עֲבֹתוֹתthick_cords_of אַהֲבָהlove וָAnd אֶהְיֶהI_am לָto הֶםthem כִּas מְרִימֵיraiser_up_of עֹלa_yoke עַלon לְחֵיjaws הֶםtheir וְAnd אַטI_incline אֵלָיunto וhim אוֹכִילI_feed

⁵ לֹאnot יָשׁוּבHe_turneth_back אֶלunto אֶרֶץland_of מִצְרַיִםEgypt וְAnd אַשּׁוּרAsshur הוּאhe מַלְכּking וֹhis כִּיFor מֵאֲנוּthey_have_refused לָto שׁוּבreturn

⁶ וְ חָלָהGrievous_hath_been חֶרֶבsword בְּin עָרָיcities וhis וְAnd כִלְּתָהit_hath_ended בַדָּיbars וhis וְand אָכָלָהconsumed מִfrom מֹּעֲצוֹתֵיcounsels הֶםtheir_own

⁷ וְAnd עַמִּpeople יMy תְלוּאִיםare_hanging_in_suspense לִabout מְשׁוּבָתִreturning יMy וְAnd אֶלunto עַלthe_Most_High יִקְרָאֻthey_do_call הוּ יַחַדTogether לֹאnot יְרוֹמֵםthey_exalt

⁸ אֵיךְHow אֶתֶּנְdo_I_give_up ךָthee אֶפְרַיִםEphraim אֲמַגֶּנְDo_I_deliver_up ךָthee יִשְׂרָאֵלIsrael אֵיךְHow אֶתֶּנְdo_I_make ךָthee כְas אַדְמָהAdmah אֲשִׂימְDo_I_set ךָthee כִּas צְבֹאיִםZeboim נֶהְפַּךְTurned_is עָלַin יMe לִבִּheart יMy יַחַדtogether נִכְמְרוּkindled_have_been נִחוּמָrepentings יMy

⁹ לֹאnot אֶעֱשֶׂהI_do חֲרוֹןfierceness_of אַפִּanger יMy לֹאnot אָשׁוּבI_turn_back לְto שַׁחֵתdestroy אֶפְרָיִםEphraim כִּיFor אֵלGod אָנֹכִיI וְand לֹאnot אִישׁa_man בְּIn קִרְבְּmidst ךָthy קָדוֹשׁHoly_One וְand לֹאnot אָבוֹאI_enter בְּin עִיר

¹⁰ אַחֲרֵיAfter יְהוָהJehovah יֵלְכוּthey_go כְּas אַרְיֵהa_lion יִשְׁאָגHe_roareth כִּיWhen הוּאHe יִשְׁאַגdoth_roar וְthen יֶחֶרְדוּtremble_do בָנִיםsons מִfrom יָּםwest

¹¹ יֶחֶרְדוּThey_tremble כְas צִפּוֹרa_sparrow מִout_of מִּצְרַיִםEgypt וּAnd כְas יוֹנָהa_dove מֵout_of אֶרֶץland_of אַשּׁוּרAsshur וְAnd הוֹשַׁבְתִּיI_have_caused_to_dwell םthem עַלin בָּתֵּיhouses הֶםtheir_own נְאֻםAn_affirmation_of יְהוָהJehovah
