Ezekiel 26

¹ וַAnd יְהִיit_cometh_to_pass בְּin עַשְׁתֵּי עֶשְׂרֵהeleventh שָׁנָהyear בְּin אֶחָדfirst לַof חֹדֶשׁmonth הָיָהthere_hath_been דְבַרa_word_of יְהוָהJehovah אֵלַunto יme לֵ אמֹרsaying

² בֶּןSon_of אָדָםman יַעַןBecause אֲשֶׁרthat אָמְרָהhath_said צֹּרTyre עַלof יְרוּשָׁלִַםJerusalem הֶאָחAha נִשְׁבְּרָהshe_hath_been_broken דַּלְתוֹתdoors_of הָthe עַמִּיםpeoples נָסֵבָּהShe_hath_turned_round אֵלָunto יme אִמָּלְאָהI_am_filled הָחֳרָבָהshe_hath_been_laid_waste

³ לָTherefore כֵן כֹּהthus אָמַרsaid אֲדֹנָLord י יְהוִהJehovah הִנְLo נִיI עָלַיִagainst ךְthee צֹרTyre וְAnd הַעֲלֵיתִיhave_caused_to_come_up עָלַיִagainst ךְthee גּוֹיִםnations רַבִּיםmany כְּAs הַעֲלוֹתcauseth_to_come_up הַthe יָּםsea לְ גַלָּיbillows וits

⁴ וְAnd שִׁחֲתוּthey_have_destroyed חֹמוֹתwalls_of צֹרTyre וְAnd הָרְסוּthey_have_broken_down מִגְדָּלֶיtowers הָher וְAnd סִחֵיתִיI_have_scraped עֲפָרָdust הּher מִמֶּfrom נָּהher וְAnd נָתַתִּיmade אוֹתָ הּher לִfor צְחִיחַa_clear_place_of סָלַעa_rock

⁵ מִשְׁטַחA_spreading_place_of חֲרָמִיםnets תִּהְיֶהshe_is בְּin תוֹךְmidst_of הַthe יָּםsea כִּיFor אֲנִיI דִבַּרְתִּיI_have_spoken נְאֻםan_affirmation_of אֲדֹנָLord י יְהוִהJehovah וְAnd הָיְתָהshe_hath_been לְfor בַזa_spoil לַto גּוֹיִםnations

⁶ וּAnd בְנוֹתֶיdaughters הָher אֲשֶׁרwho בַּin שָּׂדֶהfield בַּby חֶרֶבsword תֵּהָרַגְנָהthey_are_slain וְAnd יָדְעוּthey_have_known כִּיthat אֲנִיI יְהוָהJehovah

⁷ כִּיFor כֹהthus אָמַרsaid אֲדֹנָLord י יְהוִהJehovah הִנְLo נִיI מֵבִיאam_bringing_in אֶלunto צֹרTyre נְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּרNebuchadrezzar מֶלֶךְking_of בָּבֶלBabylon מֶלֶךְa_king_of מְלָכִיםkings מִFrom צָּפוֹןnorth בְּWith סוּסhorse וּand בְwith רֶכֶבchariot וּand בְwith פָרָשִׁיםhorsemen וְEven קָהָלan_assembly וְand עַםa_people רָבnumerous

⁸ בְּנוֹתַיִdaughters ךְThy בַּin שָּׂדֶהfield בַּby חֶרֶבsword יַהֲרֹגhe_slayeth וְAnd נָתַןhe_hath_made עָלַיִagainst ךְthee דָּיֵקa_fort וְAnd שָׁפַךְhath_poured_out עָלַיִagainst ךְthee סֹלְלָהa_mount וְAnd הֵקִיםhath_raised עָלַיִagainst ךְthee צִנָּהa_buckler

⁹ וּAnd מְחִיa_battering-ram_before קָבָלּ וֹhim יִתֵּןhe_placeth בְּagainst חֹמוֹתָיִwalls ךְthy וּAnd מִגְדְּלֹתַיִtowers ךְthy יִתֹּץhe_breaketh בְּby חַרְבוֹתָיweapons וhis

¹⁰ מִFrom שִּׁפְעַתabundance_of סוּסָיhorses וhis יְכַסֵּcover_doth ךְthee אֲבָקָdust םtheir מִFrom קּוֹלnoise_of פָּרַשׁhorseman וְand גַלְגַּלwheel וָand רֶכֶבrider תִּרְעַשְׁנָהShake_do חוֹמוֹתַיִwalls ךְthy בְּin בֹאcoming_in וֹhis בִּto שְׁעָרַיִgates ךְthy כִּAs מְבוֹאֵיcoming_into עִירa_city מְבֻקָּעָהbroken-up

¹¹ בְּWith פַרְסוֹתhoofs_of סוּסָיhorses וhis יִרְמֹסhe_treadeth אֶת כָּלall חוּצוֹתָיִout-places ךְthine עַמֵּpeople ךְThy בַּby חֶרֶבsword יַהֲרֹגhe_doth_slay וּAnd מַצְּבוֹתpillars_of עֻזֵּstrength ךְthy לָto אָרֶץearth תֵּרֵדcome_down

¹² וְAnd שָׁלְלוּthey_have_spoiled חֵילֵwealth ךְthy וּAnd בָזְזוּthey_have_plundered רְכֻלָּתֵmerchandise ךְthy וְAnd הָרְסוּthey_have_thrown_down חוֹמוֹתַיִwalls ךְthy וּAnd בָתֵּיhouses חֶמְדָּתֵdesirable ךְthy יִתֹּצוּthey_break_down וַAnd אֲבָנַיִstones ךְthy וְand עֵצַיִwood ךְthy וַand עֲפָרֵdust ךְthy בְּIn תוֹךְmidst_of מַיִםwaters יָשִׂימוּthey_place

¹³ וְAnd הִשְׁבַּתִּיI_have_caused_to_cease הֲמוֹןnoise_of שִׁירָיִsongs ךְthy וְAnd קוֹלvoice_of כִּנּוֹרַיִharps ךְthy לֹאno יִשָּׁמַעis_heard עוֹדmore

¹⁴ וּAnd נְתַתִּיI_have_given_up ךְthee לִfor צְחִיחַa_clear_place_of סֶלַעa_rock מִשְׁטַחA_spreading-place_of חֲרָמִיםnets תִּהְיֶהthou_art לֹאnot תִבָּנֶהThou_art_built_up עוֹדany_more כִּיFor אֲנִיI יְהוָהJehovah דִּבַּרְתִּיI_have_spoken נְאֻםAn_affirmation_of אֲדֹנָLord י יְהוִהJehovah

¹⁵ כֹּהThus אָמַרsaid אֲדֹנָLord י יְהוִהJehovah לְto צוֹרTyre הֲ? לֹאnot מִfrom קּוֹלnoise_of מַפַּלְתֵּfall ךְthy בֶּIn אֱנֹקgroaning_of חָלָלwounded בֵּIn הָרֵגslaying_of הֶרֶגslaughter בְּin תוֹכֵmidst ךְthy יִרְעֲשׁוּshake הָThe אִיִּיםisles

¹⁶ וְAnd יָרְדוּcome_down_have מֵ עַלfrom_off כִּסְאוֹתָthrones םtheir כֹּלall נְשִׂיאֵיprinces_of הַthe יָּםsea וְAnd הֵסִירוּthey_have_turned_aside אֶת מְעִילֵיrobes הֶםtheir וְAnd אֶת בִּגְדֵיgarments רִקְמָתָembroidered םtheir יִפְשֹׁטוּstrip_off חֲרָדוֹתTrembling יִלְבָּשׁוּthey_put_on עַלon הָthe אָרֶץearth יֵשֵׁבוּthey_sit וְAnd חָרְדוּthey_have_trembled לִ רְגָעִיםevery_moment וְAnd שָׁמְמוּthey_have_been_astonished עָלָיִat ךְthee

¹⁷ וְAnd נָשְׂאוּhave_lifted_up עָלַיִfor ךְthee קִינָהa_lamentation וְAnd אָמְרוּsaid לָto ךְthee אֵיךְHow אָבַדְתְּhast_thou_perished נוֹשֶׁבֶתThat_art_inhabited מִfrom יַּמִּיםseas הָThe עִירcity הַ הֻלָּלָהpraised אֲשֶׁרthat הָיְתָהwas חֲזָקָהstrong בַin יָּםsea הִיאShe וְand יֹשְׁבֶיinhabitants הָher אֲשֶׁרWho נָתְנוּput חִתִּיתָterror םtheir לְon כָלall יוֹשְׁבֶיinhabitants הָher

¹⁸ עַתָּהNow יֶחְרְדוּthey_tremble הָ אִיִּן יוֹםday_of מַפַּלְתֵּfall ךְthy וְ נִבְהֲלוּTroubled_have_been הָthe אִיִּיםisles אֲשֶׁרthat בַּin יָּםsea מִat צֵּאתֵoutgoing ךְthine

¹⁹ כִּיFor כֹהthus אָמַרsaid אֲדֹנָLord י יְהוִהJehovah בְּIn תִתִּmaking יmy אֹתָ ךְthee עִירa_city נֶחֱרֶבֶתwasted כֶּLike עָרִיםcities אֲשֶׁרthat לֹאnot נוֹשָׁבוּhave_been_inhabited בְּIn הַעֲלוֹתbringing_up עָלַיִagainst ךְthee אֶת תְּהוֹםdeep וְThen כִסּוּcovered_have ךְthee הַthe מַּיִםwaters הָ רַבִּיםgreat

²⁰ וְAnd הוֹרַדְתִּיI_have_caused_to_go_down ךְthee אֶתWith יוֹרְדֵיthose_going_down בוֹרpit אֶלUnto עַםpeople_of עוֹלָםold וְAnd הוֹשַׁבְתִּיI_have_caused_to_dwell ךְthee בְּin אֶרֶץland תַּחְתִּיּוֹתlower_parts כָּin חֳרָבוֹתwastes מֵof עוֹלָםold אֶתWith יוֹרְדֵיthose_going_down_to בוֹרpit לְמַעַןSo_that לֹאnot תֵשֵׁבִיthou_art_inhabited וְAnd נָתַתִּיI_have_given צְבִיbeauty בְּin אֶרֶץland_of חַיִּיםliving

²¹ בַּלָּהוֹתWastes אֶתְּנֵI_do_make ךְthee וְand אֵינֵnot ךְthou וּAnd תְבֻקְשִׁיthou_art_sought וְand לֹאnot תִמָּצְאִיart_found עוֹדany_more לְ עוֹלָםto_the_age נְאֻםAn_affirmation_of אֲדֹנָLord י יְהֹוִהJehovah
